The Unbreakable 4

For many men, the easier path never did anything aside from postponing their dreams. As time passes, their dreams become a distant memory; fuzzy and out of shape. What happened out there???

Turns out time was merely an accomplice. The true culprit though, was also a whole bunch of excuses leading to procrastination and yes, the inexorable, inevitable wreckage of shattered dreams.

This vision clearly troubled an 18 going 19-year-old teenager and despite his chronic shyness, he took a deep breath and plunged into the unknown predator-filled waters of medical school, snatching at the straws of opportunity to help him stay afloat.

Well, that was 1 year ago and in the aforementioned waters, capable of struggling thru his 1st year as a medical student, which in retrospect, seems akin to more than accomplishing a miracle in life.

Here are some rules which this guy is trying to live by today to ensure he doesn't revisit the boulevard of broken dreams. The one rule that binds all these 4 together is - IT'S NON-NEGOTIABLE.

RULE 1: If you're going to do it, DO IT! Sometimes. it's pointless to put too many things into consideration, you might just end up with nothing for THINKing too much. Comon la~
Take a look at Facebook. First Friendster. Then MySpace. Now Facebook.
Tomorrow some other smart upstart will take the lead.
NOBODY'S UNBEATABLE! - Don't ever get intimidated by any of those predecessors!

RULE 2: Go for Version 2.0
Instead of making a whole scene about how happy you are of being who you are, consider how much MORE you would have accomplished if you continually looked to strengthen yourself back there.

RULE 3: Don't be easy on yourself
The method is to accept that priorities have to be kept intact despite any form of misgivings. Personal life issues have always been a thorny one. He feels sorry for people whom he let them down.

RULE 4: Remember WHY you did it
At the bottom of his relentless drive to succeed is his desire to provide his later life free from any form of worries[i understand that this could be putting this young lad into a materialistic disposition but hey! who is not?]. That's the motivation that propels him forward, and in all honesty - his everyday inspiration is him, himself because no one else should need to remind him why he needs to hit his targets. He will only consider himself a success when he could live happily without any worries, at all!!!

P/S: A little something to share with you all - today's actually a wonderful day to some of us, cause it reminds us of how a real pal honors his friendship. And not letting this golden opportunity to slip away, I'm extending my earnest and most sincere gratitude here to James Wong with his beloved son, Benjamin WJS. They are truly great heroes in the hearts of residents of B-3-6, Condo Prima Setapak. Good people with holy souls. May Lord bless them and the rest of their family. =]
